The Blog

This blog is a place where I hope to capture the adventure of doing everyday life.  Many times I  get so caught up dreaming of an awesome pursuit  or  a grand adventure, that I miss out on how meaningful everyday moments really are.  One of my favorite authors, Paul Tripp, talks about how most of life is lived in everyday moments. If this is true, then my greatest adventure is embedded in the experiences I am most inclined to take for granted.

I have received a lot of insight from a simple daily  practice of intentional thankfulness, hence the name of this blog everydaythankful. As I share what I am learning through this practice and from navigating everyday moments, I hope that you will be inspired to see the adventure in your everyday moments and keep me accountable to cherish mine.

The Author

My name is Mindy and  I am glad you chose to visit this page! I grew up in Nairobi, Kenya and have spent most of my adult life in Oklahoma and Texas. I currently work in healthcare, I do not function well without a cup of coffee, and I think a day is incomplete if I have not had the chance to write in my journal. Perhaps the most important thing you should know about me however, is  that I am a Christian and this  perspective informs my reflections in this blog. My hope is that this becomes a  place you visit frequently to pause and reflect with me as I tell you about the ways I am discovering life in ordinary moments.I hope that as you read through these posts and see the times my heart is wise and the times my heart is foolish it will challenge you to be more attentive to your own heart and notice when it too is wise and when it is foolish.

Mindy Mukolwe

Teach us to number our days carefully so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts.
